Day 1 – LA PAZ - ORURO (4 Hrs) (270 km)
100% paved road. Departure from the city of La Paz (3,600 m high) on a highway. The landscape is typical of the Altiplano in the Andes. Arrive to the city of Oruro (3,800 m high). Hotel. This first day is to check out our motorbikes.
Day 2 – ORURO - JIRIRA (7 Hrs) (245 km)
50% paved road, 50% off-road. We continue on a paved road as far as Challapata village, the green highland near Titicaca lake disappears to become desert landscape. On the way we will pass Huari village, sanctuary of Quillacas, Salinas de Garci Mendoza village. Finally we arrive to Jirira village near the shores of the salt flat of Uyuni. Basic lodgings.
Day 3 – JIRIRA - ISLA PESCADO - UYUNI (7 Hrs) (120 km)
50% paved with salt, 50% off-road. On this trip, we cross the Uyuni Salt Flats. Along the way, we'll visit Fish Island (Isla de los Peces) where we can see giant cacti (Piloes cereus selcianus) and enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the salt flats. After crossing the salt flats, passing by Playa Blanca, Banderas, and the Dakar Rally landmark, our destination will be the city of Uyuni. Hotel Magia de Uyuni.
Day 4 – UYUNI – TUPIZA (4 Hrs) (195 km)
Today we will drive on paved roads, along high mountain paths, with beautiful mountain colors, descending to the city of Tupiza, which is 2850 meters above sea level. Hotel Mitru.
Day 5 – TUPIZA – POTOSI (6 horas, 260 Km)
The road was paved, full of slopes and curves. We began to climb to 4100 meters above sea level, where the city of Potosí is located. That day we passed many small towns and vegetable and fruit plantations.
Potosí, or Imperial City of Potosí, is a city in southwestern Bolivia, the capital and most populous city of the department of the same name and of the province of Frías. Founded in 1545, it was one of the most important mining centers of the colonial era. It extends along the slopes of the legendary mountain called Cerro Rico (in Quechua: Sumaq Orqo), where the largest silver mine in the world was located from the mid-16th to the mid-17th century, quickly making it one of the most prosperous and populous urban centers of the 16th and 17th centuries, even financing the economy of the Spanish and world empires.

Day 6 – POTOSI-POTOSI.. free day, option of a mine tour (El Cerro Rico de Potosí)
VISIT TO THE CERRO RICO MINES. The tour starts at 8:30 am. The visit to the mines lasts 4 to 5 hours.
On our seventh day, we'll have a look around Potosí, spending the morning visiting the cooperative mines, and spending the afternoon visiting the Casa de Moneda Museum. We will stay at our four-star hotel for the night. No meals are included on this day.
Day 7 – POTOSI - ORURO (6 Hrs) (360 km )
Approximately 360 kilometers on paved roads. You will have to find your own hotel if you plan to stay in Oruro overnight.
Day 8 – ORURO – AGUAS TERMALES DE HOTEL GLORIA (4 Hrs) (315 km)
On this last day, we'll stay at a different hotel with hot springs. This hotel is located in a canyon overlooking the Andes Mountains.
The modest rooms feature simple wooden furniture and en-suite bathrooms. Upgraded rooms also include a bathtub or whirlpool tub filled with geothermal water.
Guests also have access to shared indoor and outdoor geothermal hot tubs. Other amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, a sauna, and a thermal pool surrounded by natural rocks.
Day 9 – AGUAS TERMALES – LA PAZ (4 Hrs) (115 km)
Return to La Paz. Four-hour journey, approximately 115 kilometers on dirt and paved roads. If you plan to spend the night in La Paz, you will need to find your own hotel. (Hotel not included).
